2019 Great Adventures Green Island Swim

On Sunday October 20th, The Quicksilver Group held their 14th annual 'Great Adventures Green Island Ocen Swim'.
It is a unique Great Barrier Reef competition takes place on the leeward side of the island, with each leg of the event offering a variety of conditions from shallows to wind chip and tidal flow. The water conditions around this time of the year average 24 degrees, and this year did not disappoint, with some of the best conditions in the event's history!
The Green Island Ocean Swim is a community event and is supported by Surf Life Saving North Queensland and the Cairns Crocs.
